On May 25, 2026, the National Standardization Administration of China (SAC) issued no 23 national standardization notice of 2026, announcing the approval of 375 national standards and 5 amendments, among which include 18 items for cybersecurity, with further detail as below:

All the aforementioned standards will come into force on December 1, 2026, and the majority of them do not adopt any international standards. Considering the fact that China continues to strengthen its governance on cybersecurity, it is advised for foreign stakeholders to be aware of the standard status, and the potential impacts that such standards may bring, especially whether they are cited by any national laws and regulations.
Meanwhile, other standards that are announced for implementation in this national notice cover a variety of sectors, and those that may of interest to foreign stakeholders include quantification method and requirements for carbon footprint of products for construction materials, energy efficiency requirements for electrical and electronic products, industrial internet, machinery and EV etc.
