The BEP standard series are adopted in the purpose of addressing the data compatibility issue while improving data exchange efficiency for between truck chassis manufacturers and bodywork manufacturers in China. These national standards are basically identical adoptions from the ISO 21308 series, except for some editorial changes.
To summarize, the formulation of BEP series may facilitate relevant foreign stakeholders in the sector as it will promote international practice in the country. And it is advised to stay updated to the future progress of the standard revision on vehicle acceleration performance test, not only because the currently effective version has been published for almost two decades therefore the revision will result in quite a few technical changes, but also the standard itself is a significant technical foundation for such tests in China’s vehicle management system.
