GB 16410-2020 Domestic Gas Cooking Appliances, GB 25034-2020 Gas-fired heating and hot water combi-boiler (New Standard) have been released, and will replace GB 16410-2007 and GB 25034-2010 (Old Standard) from the implementation date. Compared with old editions, new standards have changed the safety inspection item requirements for domestic gas cooking appliances and gas-fired heating and hot water combi-boiler. To this end, the Commission revised the implementation rules for compulsory product certification of domestic gas appliances (see Annex, hereinafter referred to as “the New Version Of The Certification Rules”), and mainly adjusted the safety inspection items of domestic gas cooking appliances and gas-fired heating and hot water combi-boiler, which are now promulgated.

The compulsory certification for domestic gas cooking appliances and gas-fired heating and hot water combi-boiler is implemented in accordance with new certification rules and new standards, CNCA Notice on Issues Related to China Compulsory Certification (CCC) During Standards Revision (IACS No.18 [2005]) and Announcement on the Relevant Requirements for Compulsory Product Certification in Revision of Standards (No.4 [2012]).

With immediate effect, implementation of compulsory certification for domestic gas cooking appliances and gas-fired heating and hot water combi-boiler shoule be in accordance with the new certification rules, and compulsory product certification certificates that have been issued would stay valid, and complete the certification certificate conversion through natural transition such as expiration renewal and product changes.
