China RoHS, similar to EU RoHS, is a system that restricts the use of certain hazardous substances such as heavy metals (like lead, mercury etc.) in electrical equipment and electronic components, in China.

The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) published China RoHS 2.0, the Administrative Measures for the Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products, on January 21, 2016, which came into effect on July 1, 2016. “Standard Achieving Management Catalogue China RoHS” was published in 2018 and was implemented in March 2019. Products covered by this Catalogue must reach China RoHS requirements before they enter Chinese market.
