Consortia standards refer to enterprise product standards containing the same technical indicators and requirements, which are developed by the member enterprises of consortia/alliances based on mutual consultation and agreement, jointly approved by standard the consortia/alliance, registered with the national standardization administration, and used jointly and repeatedly.

Although consortia standards are not accredited by the Standardization Law of China as an independent type of standards, the standards are universally existing and being used in China. This article aims at introducing the state of this standard in China.
