[ICT SECURITY]- JUN 11 2021, Catalogue of Commercial Cryptography Application Security Evaluation Pilot Institutions updated

On June 11, 2021, the State Cryptography Administration (SCA) issued and updated the Catalogue of Commercial Cryptography Application Security Evaluation Pilot Institutions.

For critical information infrastructure (CII) required by laws, administrative regulations and relevant national provisions to be protected with commercial cryptography, their operators shall use commercial cryptography to provide protection, and conduct a security assessment on the application of the commercial cryptography either on their own, or entrust a commercial cryptography testing institution to do so [Article 27 in China Cryptograph Law].

The CII refers to the information system or industrial control system that provides network information services to the public or supports the operation of energy, communication, finance, transportation, public utilities, and other important industries.
