Announcement Concerning the Implementation of China VI Emission Standard for Diesel Fueled Heavy-duty Vehicles
In order to implement the relevant requirements of the "Limits and Measurement Methods for Emissions from Diesel Fueled Heavy-duty Vehicles (CHINA VI) "(GB 17691-2018)”, and in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Air Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People's Republic of China", the announcement regarding nationwide implementation of the China VI Emission Standards for Diesel Fueled Heavy-duty Vehicles (CHINA VI) (hereafter referred to as the CN VI Emission Standard) is as follows:
1. Starting from July 1st , 2021, the CN VI Emission Standards for Diesel Fueled Heavy-duty Vehicles will be fully implemented nationwide, and the production and sale of diesel-fueled heavy-duty vehicles that do not meet the CN VI Emission Standard are prohibited (the production date is defined as the uploading date of the motor vehicle qualification certificate and the date of sale is defined as the date of the vehicle’s sales invoice). The imported diesel-fueled heavy-duty vehicles shall comply with the CN VI Emission Standard (the date of importation is defined as the arrival date marked on the goods import certificate).
2. As the major liable parties for managing the uniformity of environmental protection and production, automobile production and importing enterprises shall comply the “Air Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People’s Republic of China” and relevant regulations. They should disclose the emission information and pollution control technical information of the vehicle before its leaving from the factory or its entry into the country. They should also upload the vehicle’s environmental protection documents to ensure that the imported vehicles meet the requirements of the CN VI Emission Standard .
3. The limit of the nitrogen oxide (NOx) concentration from the emission test of heavy-duty vehicles on the actual road, and the conformance factor (CF) of the actual driving pollutant emission test for the light-duty vehicle, shall all be in accordance with the limits specified in the corresponding standards and relevant requirements. Heavy-duty vehicles that meet the requirements of stage 6b emission standards should connect to the remote emission monitoring system per standard and specification.
