On April 7, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) called for Pilot Enterprises of Industrial Products Green Design (Third Batch) . The aim is to promote a green, low carbon, circular development for industry by green design through all processes and promote to achieve peak carbon emission by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2050.

The key messages are as follows:        

·         The preferred pilots would be given to industrial products that have a major impact on ecological environment, strong consumer demand, industry chain and supply chain.

·         Selection of best practices would be on developing green design advanced technologies and products and developing standards in green design areas.

·         Selection of green design pilot enterprises should be experienced in green design, good at innovation, and well-known in industries.
