




On 12 April 2021, MIIT issued the Notice on the Special Action Plan for the Ageing and Accessibility of Internet Applications. The notice puts forward the relevant standards and specifications, evaluation requirements, and accessibility signs. Outstanding companies will be given credit points in the "Corporate Credit Evaluation".
The notice clearly points out the general design specifications for the ageing of Internet websites, the general design specifications for the ageing of mobile Internet applications (applications), and the establishment of an evaluation system for the Internet applications suitable for the aged and the level of accessibility. The notice clarified the general design specification for the Internet applications suitable for the aged. It is pointed out that relevant Internet websites and APPs can apply to the Internet Society of China and the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology for evaluation after they have completed their ageing and barrier-free renovations with reference to the above documents before 30 September 2021. After the relevant Internet websites and APPs pass the evaluation, they will be awarded the information accessibility mark, which is valid for two years.
