On 15 November 2020, 15 member states, including China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia, New Zealand and the 10 ASEAN countries, formally signed the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), marking the official launch of the free trade area with the largest population, the largest economic scale and the greatest development potential in the world. All RCEP members have promised they will ratify the agreement by the end of 2021 and push for its implementation on January 1, 2022.

Among the RCEP member countries, except Brunei, Laos and Burma, all other countries have established and implemented the corresponding mandatory market access system for the safety performance of consumer electronic and electrical products in mechanical and electrical products (as shown in the document below).
