On February 20, 2021, National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) called for comments on the Implementation Rules of Energy Efficiency Labeling for Small and Medium Three-phase Asynchronous Motors, the Implementation Rules of Energy Efficiency Labeling for Power Transformers, the Implementation Rules of Energy Efficiency Labeling for Fans, the Implementation Rules of Energy Efficiency Labeling for Flat Panel Televisions, and the Implementation Rules of Energy Efficiency Labeling for Set Top Boxes.

These rules are planned to come into force on June 1, 2021. Products manufactured or imported before June 1, 2021 can be attached with new CEL label according to the new implementation rules before June 1, 2022.
