The new standard of GB 20052-2020 Minimum Allowable Values of Energy Efficiency and the Energy Efficiency Grades for Power Transformers issued on May 29 2020 and will be implemented from June 1st 2021, which will replace the previous standards of GB 20052-2013 and GB 24790-2009.

• Expand the scope of application of certified products according to the new standard, including three-phase oil-immersed distribution transformers and three-phase dry-type distribution transformers with a voltage level of 10kV, and oil-immersed power transformers with a voltage level of 35kV～500kV;

• The certification is based on the GB 20052-2020 instead of GB 20052-2013;

• Increase the certification model and modify the unit division requirements;

• The conversion of the certificate of old standard will be completed before June 1, 2022, and the certificate that has not completed the conversion after the expiry date will be suspended; the certificate of old standard version that has not been converted after September 1, 2022 will be revoked.
