According to the Catalogue of the Products to Be Subject to Compulsory Product Certification, 5G MT (Mobile Terminal) for users is included in it. Relevant matters about the CCC certification of 5G MT from CNCA are hereby notified as follows:
Referenced Standards: Add YD/T2583.18 - “Requirement and measurement methods of electromagnetic compatibility for cellular mobile telecommunication equipment Part 18: 5G user equipment and ancillary equipment” into “Implementation Rules for Compulsory Product Certification-Telecommunications Terminal Equipment” (CNCA-C16-01:2014) as the electromagnetic compatibility standard for CCC certification of 5G MT.
Implementation:
From the date of this announcement (August 27, 2020), the designated certification body shall implement CCC certification for 5G MT in accordance with the relevant rules.
For 5G MT that have obtained CCC certification in accordance with the requirements of 4G and other standards in the early stage, the certification client should submit a supplementary testing application based on YD/T2583.18 to the designated certification body, and renew the CCC certification certificates after passing the test. The certificate renewal should be completed before June 30, 2021, and for those who failed to renew the certificates, the designated certification body shall cancel the certificates.
For the designated certification bodies and laboratories of "Mobile User Terminal" certification, if they have the capabilities described in YD/T2583.18, they can directly undertake the CCC certification and testing of 5G MT and will not be designated separately.
