On December 28^th 2020, the NDRC and MOFCOM jointly published the 2020 version of the industry catalogue that encourages foreign investment.

This catalogue consists of 1235 articles, with 127 new articles and 88 modifications compared with the 2019 catalogue. This version emphasizes three new points to be noticed:

• Foreign investment’s role in the supply chain.

• Encouraging foreign investments in producer services industries, and

• Encouraging investment in Central and Western China.

The 2020 version of the Catalogue will be formally implemented on January 27^th, 2021.
