MIIT solicited public opinions by issuing theNotice by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on Implementation of Electronic Sign of Network Access License of Telecommunication Equipment, and the public can submit comments from 14, December, 2020 to 15, January, 2021. This notice will allow telecommunication equipment to access network with electronic sign of network access license. The main contents of this document are as follows:

• After obtaining the network access license of the telecommunication equipment, the telecommunication equipment enterprises can apply for the electronic sign from the telecommunication equipment certification center according to the their own situation. Electronic signs and paper signs have equal legal effect.

• For telecommunication equipment using electronic sign, the equipment enterprises should explain the display position and query method of electronic sign in the specification of telecommunication equipment, and ensure that the electronic sign can not be tampered with or deleted by a third party.

• To meet the demand of consumers, the equipment enterprise should submit the correspondence between the equipment identification code and the product serial number (including and not limited to IMEI/MEID/EID/SN, etc.) to the telecommunication equipment certification center within 5 working days after finishing the production of telecommunication equipment.
