



On 1 st June 2017, Cyber security Law of the People’s Republic of China has officially come into force, marking the launch of Classified Cybersecurity Protection 2.0. The law clarifies, “The state shall, based on the rules for classified cybersecurity protection, focus on protecting the critical information infrastructure in important industries and fields that will result in serious damage to state security, the national economy and the people's livelihood and public interest if it is destroyed, loses functions or encounters data leakage.” (Article 31).
The regulations above have given new connotations to Classified Cybersecurity Protection, revising the standard system of CCPS 1.0. With the implementation of the Cybersecurity Law, it’s of great significance for users to comply with new requirements of the Classification Cybersecurity Protection and fulfill their obligations to ensure cybersecurity under the guidance.
With the development of information technologies, Classification Protection has expanded its target scope from information systems to network infrastructures, cloud computing platforms/systems, big data platforms/systems, Internet of Things(IoT), Industrial Control System(ICS), systems with mobile internet technologies. The classified technical protection mechanism and refined management methods are based on new technologies and new methods and should be taken into account when it comes to CCPS 2.0. Moreover, critical information infrastructures are specially protected. The harmonization between standards on Grades Protection and critical information infrastructure also should be brought to notice in the CCPS standards system.
