Four National Mandatory Standard Projects on Transportation Call for Comments – JUL, 2025

On July 8, 2025, the Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) issued notice to call for public comments on 4 national mandatory standards on different types of transporting vehicles. These four standards are planned to be drafted/revised by corresponding TCs and this call-for-comment is asking for the public on whether any rejection or other opinions anyone would have on proceeding the projects, and the period will stop on August 7, 2025.

Road tanker for   dangerous liquid goods transportation—Part1: Technical   requirements of atmospheric pressure metal tank

GB 18564.1-2019

It stipulates the   requirements for materials, design, safety accessories, instruments and   loading and unloading accessories, manufacturing, testing methods, inspection   rules, marking and identification, and factory documents of atmospheric   pressure metal tank for road tanker for dangerous liquid goods.
  It does not apply to tank bodies made of non-metallic materials, vacuum   insulated structures or military equipment, etc., which have special   requirements.
