For the amendment of GB 40164-2021, it articulates three types of revision with multiple items under each type:
· Type I: modification on technical changes (6 items).
· Type II: packaging and labelling requirements (4 items).
· Type III: changes in annexes (6 items).
For foreign stakeholders and MNCs, it may take some extra attention to ensure conformity as none of the aforementioned standards or amendment adopts any international standards. But the fact that most of the standards will come into effect on January 1, 2026 will leave some transition period for relevant manufacturers.
