Among the six standards, Commercial gas-burning appliance may have the most direct impact for gas appliance manufacturers, as it specifies terms and definitions, classifications and types, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marks, warnings and instructions, packaging, transportation and storage of commercial gas appliance, such as some product commonly used in restaurants like deep fryers, steamer cabinets, commercial ovens etc. Specifically, this standard is applicable to the gas appliance that defined in GB/T 13611 Classification and essential property of city gas, which means to use gas as the energy source, combustion air from the room, and directly or indirectly discharged to the outside.
Foreign stakeholders of relevant product are advised to notice that none of the standards has any reference or adoption of international ones. The two standards by TC31 are already finished call-for-comment period. And the other two standard projects are planned to be finish in a 6-month period, which means drafts for comments may come out in Q1 of next year. It is also suggested to follow the future updates to avoid potential compliance issue.
