Urban rail equipment certification is a voluntary activity driven jointly by Chinese regulatory authorities and industry organizations, with certification bodies responsible for its implementation. The catalog for urban rail equipment certification is released by the National Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA) in conjunction with the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). The rules for urban rail equipment certification within the catalog are issued by CNCA. CNCA and NDRC also coordinate and supervise urban rail equipment certification work in accordance with their respective responsibilities.
