On December 8, 2022, the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China (CNCA) issued the Notice on Adjusting and Optimizing the CCC Procedure for Electronics and Electrical Appliances (hereinafter referred to as “the Notice”).

Key messages are as follows:

•       CNCA proposes to improve the classification management of manufacturing enterprises, improve pre-certification factory inspection, optimize post-certification supervision and inspection, and ensure that enterprises independently choose the testing laboratory. As a result, the accuracy and effectiveness of the implementation of certification will be further enhanced, and the time and cost for enterprises to obtain certification will be reduced.

•       Among them, in terms of optimizing post-certification supervision and inspection, it proposes to adopt certification results of the enterprise quality management system to simplify the inspection of factory quality assurance capability. Only one supervision and inspection of factory quality assurance capability should be implemented on enterprises with good credit and high management level in each certification cycle.
