On November 3, 2022, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT) issued the draft of the National Recommended Catalogue of Energy Saving Technologies and Equipment in Industry and Information Sectors (2022 version) (hereinafter referred to as “the Catalogue”) and called for public feedback. The feedback solicitation period lasted from November 3rd to 17th.
The Catalogue was first drafted in 2015 and was based on an official document released by the MIIT and the China Development Bank called the Notice on Recommending Key Projects of Industrial Energy Saving and Green Development. The Notice clearly stated to form a Recommended Catalogue of Industrial Energy Saving and Green Development. The first version of the Catalogue was issued in 2017 and was referred to as the National Recommended Catalogue of Energy Saving Technologies and Equipment in Industry (2017). It has been updated annually ever since its initial release.
