In November 2022, the China Agricultural Mechanization Association held a workshop to address developments of agricultural mechanization since 2013 have been discussed and summarized. China has put agricultural mechanization as a key focus and major support to promote the modernization of agriculture and rural area. Since 2013, central and regional governments have highly paid attention to the significant role of agricultural mechanization in modern agriculture. Strong support has been given on the development itself along with the environment optimization. 

General achievements that have been made in the past decade are clearly demonstrated in the: i) overall mechanization rate of major crops farming, planting and harvest reaching over 70%; ii) completed transition from partial mechanization to full-process mechanization; iii) competitiveness of the manufacturing capacity and products in agricultural machinery  significantly improving in the international market; iv) establishment of a better circulation and service system for agricultural machinery.
