On 11th October 2022, China’s State Administration for Market Regulation released the Notice on Canceling the Compulsory Certification for Certain Electrical and Electronic Products (hereinafter referred to as the Notice). The Notice follows another document previously issued by the State Council, namely, the Opinions on Deepening the Reform of the Management System for the Electrical and Electronics Industry, which outlined the need to adjust the Catalogue of China Compulsory Certification (hereinafter referred to as the CCC Catalogue). For all the products listed in the CCC Catalogue, their producers or importers are required to obtain the CCC certificate before being allowed to place them on Chinese market. The Notice, therefore, officially discloses the latest adjustments to the CCC Catalogue.
