Based on exporting information released by the General Administration of Customs in April 2022, China manufacturers have shipped a total of 46 units of construction machinery to the Black Sea regions.

This batch of construction equipment is mostly from Chinese machinery giants such as SANY Heavy Industry Co and are primarily excavators and rollers. Such machinery will be used for local aid construction projects.

In recent years, Chinese construction machinery has managed to play a bigger role in the global market as well as achieve a stable growth rate. Rizhao, a port located in Shandong province, has become a significant exporting port for construction equipment manufacturers in China due to its higher shipping capacity rate and faster customs handling process. In its first quarter of 2022, Rizhao port shipped equipment with total dimensions of 210 thousand cubic meters and a monetary value of 1.6 billion CNY. These products were exported to more than 10 countries and regions in the Belt and Road Initiative.

For MNCs and stakeholders, enhancing development and exportation of construction machinery is also a critical field in China’s “going global” strategy. The country’s manufacturers have become more competitive in the global market with national support through several aspects including technical and policy (BRI etc.) This in combination with China’s horizontal strategy on construction aide projects in developing countries and regions encourage such growth to continue.
