On April 18. 2022, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) issued Interim Measures for Supervision and Inspection of Radio Frequency and Station Use (hereinafter referred to as “the Measures”) and an official Q&A with more detailed information. The Measures have been in effect since May 1, 2022. 

The Measures aims at:

i)  enhancing the supervision and monitoring of radio frequency use with in-use radio station management;

ii) ensuring the regular operation of radio stations and safety of electromagnetic frequency;

iii) maintaining the order of air radio waves. 

It contains 6 chapters and 33 articles that specify the methods, contents, procedure, and result of supervision and inspection for radio frequency and station use.
