On March 22, 2022, the Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA) released notice No. 5 of 2022, issuing two new implementation rules for green product certification to the public: Implementation Rules on Certification of Green Product - Fridge, Air-conditioner and Washing Machine, and Implementation Rules on Certification of Green Product – Tyres (hereinafter referred to as “the Implementation Rules”). These two new implementation rules have been in effect since March 18, 2022.

The Implementation Rules are formulated in accordance with official documents including the Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on the Establishment of a Unified Green Product Standard, Certification and Marking System (publications of General office of State Council No.〔2016〕-86) and the Announcement of the State Administration for Market Regulation on the Release of the List of Green Product Evaluation Standards and the Certification Catalogue (the third batch)(official announcement of SAMR 2021 No.43).
