On November 17, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), released the 14th Five-Year Plan” Development Plan for Deep Integration of Informatization and Industrialization (hereinafter referred to as “the Plan”).

 
The key goals of the Plan are as follows:

·         By 2025, the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry will be significantly accelerated, and the national development Index of informatization and industrialization integration will reach 105.

·         New models and formats will be widely applied. The digitization coverage rate of enterprise operation and management will reach 80%, and the transformation to flat, platform-oriented, ecological enterprise form will pick up pace.

·         The coverage rate of digital R&D and design tools will reach 85%. The numerical control rate of key processes will 68%, and the network-based, intelligent and personalized production mode will be deeply applied in key fields.

·         New information infrastructure construction will be upgraded, digital technology will made rapid progress, the industrial big data industry will boom, the industrial Internet application will make further progress, and the standard system of integration of informatization and industrialization will be continuously improved.

·         The coverage rate of industrial Internet platform will reach 45%, and the service capacity of system solution will significantly be enhanced, forming a new pattern where platform enterprises are empowered, and integrated development of large, middle and small enterprises are achieved.
