On December 21, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Ministry of Education (MOE), the Ministry of Science and Technology (MST), the Ministry of Finance (MOF), Ministry of Personnel (MOP), Ministry of Labor and Social Security (MLSS), the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (ASAACSC) jointly issued the 14^th Five-Year Plan for Intelligent Manufacturing Development (hereinafter referred to as “the Plan”)

The main goals of the Plan include:

·         The transformation and upgrading will achieve remarkable results. 70% of manufacturing enterprises above designated size will basically realize digitalization and networking and built more than 500 smart manufacturing demonstration factories that lead industrial development.

·         The supply capacity will be significantly enhanced. The technical level and market competitiveness of intelligent manufacturing equipment and industrial software will be significantly improved, with market satisfaction rates exceeding 70% and 50% respectively. Develop more than 150 intelligent manufacturing system solution providers with high professional standards and strong service capabilities.

The foundation support will be more solid. Complete the formulation and revision of more than 200 national and sector standards, and build more than 120 industrial Internet platforms with industrial and regional influence
