



On December 21, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), jointly with other 14 national ministries, issued the Fourteenth Five-Year Plan for Robot Industry Development (hereinafter referred to as “the Plan”).
The main goals of the Plan are set for 2025, and the details include:
- Breakthroughs will be achieved on a batch of core robot technologies and high-end products; the overall indicators of the complete machine will reach the international advanced level, and the performance and reliability of key components will reach the international level of their counterpart;
- The average annual growth rate for the robot industry’s operating income will exceed 20%;
- Build up 3 to 5 industrial clusters with international influence;
- The density of manufacturing robots will double.
