On November 2, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Ministry of Finance (MOF), and the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) jointly launched the 2021 Pilot Program on Intelligent Manufacturing (hereinafter referred to as “the Program”).

The key goals listed in the Program are as follows:

·  Promote innovation on applied scenes, manufacture modeling, regional pilot program; select and promote great intelligent applicable situations, through competition to pick up the best intelligent manufactures as models in subdivided industries.

·  By 2025, establish a group of model manufactures with high level of technology and great effect of modeling; build up intelligent manufacturing pilot regions, and conclude a system of intelligent manufacturing scenes with high level of technology and great value to be promoted; create the breakthroughs in key technology, equipment, software, standards and solutions so as to promote the pilot on applying standards of intelligent manufacturing.
