The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently announced that it will refine policies and regulations to support intelligent connected vehicles, expedite the revision of key standards, strengthen the coordination of standards in areas such as automobiles, infrastructure, and information communication, and continue to promote the high-quality development of the intelligent connected vehicle industry.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Xin Guobin, stated that after years of continuous efforts, China's intelligent connected vehicle industry has achieved positive results. There is increased vitality in technological innovation, with solid-state LiDAR being used on a large scale, and high-performance chips for intelligent driving entering mass production. Demonstrations of autonomous taxis and long-haul logistics applications are being conducted in an orderly manner.
Xin Guobin further mentioned that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will support upstream and downstream enterprises in forming innovative consortia to complement each other's strengths and empower one another. This will help break through key technologies, accelerate the advancement of city-level integrated "vehicle-road-cloud" demonstration applications, promote the development of vehicle-road coordination infrastructure, and build an integrated industrial ecosystem encompassing automobiles, energy, and smart cities.
