On 16 October 2019, State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) released the Adjustment and Improvement of the Compulsory Certification Products Catalogue and Implementation Requirements (2019 No.44) to further reduce institutional transaction costs for enterprises. The document clarifies 18 products that do not need compulsory certification and adds 17 products that will apply self-declaration evaluation.
