On January 28, 2022, Ministry of Finance of the People’s Republic of China, jointly with other 7 ministries, issued Announcement on Adjusting the List of Retail Imports in Cross-border E-commerce (hereinafter referred to as “the Announcement”). The revised contents will come into force on March 1, 2022.

The List of Retail Imports in Cross-border E-commerce (CBEC) is firstly released in 2016 to facilitate and optimize cross-border business. It is considered as China’s “positive list” for CBEC and products not included in this list is not allowed to be imported and sold in China through CBEC. Current effective version is revised in 2019.

The revision mainly covers following contents:

·   Add 29 products that are popular in consumer market.

·   Adjust HS code for relevant products in accordance with the latest HS code change (involves 115 newly added codes, and 80 cancelled codes)
