On April 27, the Department of General Affairs of National Medical Product Administration (NMPA) issued Response Letter about Cosmetic Registration and Notification Management as a reply to the Announcement on Cosmetics Registration/Notification and Production-related Matters during the City’s Pandemic Prevention and Control (hereinafter referred to as “the Announcement”) issued by Shanghai Municipal Medical Product Administration. The Announcement is released in the purpose of fully support the city's cosmetic enterprises to overcome the pandemic impact and conduct cosmetic registration, notification and production legally, according to relevant provisions.

The Announcement clarified the measures and facilitation actions for cosmetics manufacturers on several critical compliance requirements, such as: the extension of registration validation, production license and resumption of work and production etc.
