On February 16, 2022, the State
Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) released their announcement on capability
verification of the national inspection and testing bodies for 2021.
This verification aims at improving and
ensuring the technical skillset of relevant inspection and testing bodies. SAMR
has set up 18 verification items and 29 verification parameters, covering
various sectors including food safety, electrical safety, consumable safety,
construction materials, ecological monitoring, material testing etc.
Of the 2733 verifications that were carried
out for the inspection and testing bodies, 167 results turned out unqualified,
making the unqualified rate about 6.1%. Detailed results are published with the
announcement under three annexes:
· List of qualified verifications of national inspection and testing bodies of 2021.
· List of unqualified verifications of national inspection and testing bodies of 2021.
· List of inspections and testing bodies that failed to attend the verification of 2021 per request
